Transporting Today for A Safer Tomorrow
We Can Help With Your Transportation Needs.
It gives me great pleasure in introducing our company, staff, and services. It is our goal here at the Claiborne County Human Resource Agency to provide safe and reliable ridership services for the Citizens of Claiborne, Franklin, and Jefferson counties. Our concerns are not only to make an impact in our community but also doing so by making sure our environment is clean. "Transporting Today for a Safer Tomorrow", is our company's motto. In an effort to aid and assist in keeping our environment clean, we realize that fewer cars on the highway will decrease the risk of accidents and help to lower the levels of pollution.
Our agency places special emphasis on helping individuals who are faced with financial challenges and job stability by offering employment routes in three different counties- Claiborne, Copiah, and Warren. Nevertheless, we are willing to expand our services to other surrounding areas in the near future. As the director, it has been my goal to enhance transportation by offering transportation services to the public at no cost. We have obtained grants and contracts that will assist funding for transportation to non-emergency medical appointments, dialysis treatments, physical therapy, recreational facilities and general errands for the senior citizens and disabled.
What We Do
Since 1981, Claiborne County Human Resource Agency Public Transit has been serving the community with pride and punctuality. Currently, the system operates 28 vehicles of which 18 are wheelchair accessible and have a staff of 31 drivers and 7 office personnel.
The system was created specifically to provide reliable and safe transportation to all residents of Claiborne County and Jefferson County with no restrictions on age, sex, color, creed, or economic background in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
In addition, we offer non-emergency medical transportation in surrounding counties and have established employment routes to Copiah and Warren Counties.
We welcome the opportunity to earn your trust and deliver you the best service in the transportation area.
